Celebration of Birds - December 10, 2016
Mark your calendars for a Celebration of Birds, a special event hosted by the Friends of Fort Vancouver on December 10, 2016 at the Visitor Center (1501 East Evergreen Boulevard, Vancouver, Washington 98661). The event hours are between 10am and 3pm and will occur as a part of the celebrations for Christmas and the winter holidays that are occurring throughout the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site on that day.
Artist Joy OHearn, whose art is now on display at the Visitor Center at part of the "Expressions of Culture" exhibit, will have a demonstration of Hawaiian feather art.
Children can make a birdhouse (materials and expert supervision courtesy of Home Depot - quantities are limited) or a pine cone bird feeder.
The Friends Shop will be open from 9:30am - 4pm with a wonderful selection of unique books, gifts, ornaments, jewelry and more. The Shop's theme for the season is "Give a gift that tells a story."
See you there!
